Original Abstract

The contribution describes and presents simulation results of the new Smoothed Particle Galerkin (SPG) method. Although the SPG method was first mentioned in 2014, there hasn’t been much written about this method so far. Since the SPG method is one of the meshfree methods, which often suffer from numerical tensile instability problems, the contribution presents an experiment showing that the SPG method is free of these instabilities. The Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method is used for simulation results comparison, since it could be considered to be a base of the SPG method.
