Original Abstract
This paper presents a dynamic system modelling of a nanomanipulator chain developed in the ICA-ACROE and LEPES laboratories. The chain is a very complex instrument, serving for precise sensing and manipulation in a nanometer scale environment. The objective was to find a suitable model of the chain for further performance and stability analysis, simulation purposes and testing of new parts. This global model was determined (simulation schemes, state space representation and transfer functions), the simulation schemes are presented in this paper. The nano-scale probe-sample interaction forces were modelled too. Experimental identification of certain parameters of the instrument was also performed. Finally the simulation of the whole nanomanipulator chain is presented, simulating the approach-withdrawal operation, which is in good accordance with the real patterns of experiments in physics.
