Original Abstract

The paper focuses on the simulation of free chlorine concentration decrease as it is the most common disinfectant in the water supply sector. The distribution network in Katerinice village was used for calibration and verification of the model. Free chlorine concentrations were measured at specific points over time. Software tool Epanet 2.0 was used for the analysis. The distribution network in Katerinice is characterized by very dynamically changing free chlorine concentration in the water on the input point which requires accurate timing of the sampling based on the actual water flow in the network. The process of predicting the rapid fluctuations and the observed principles are the main benefits of this paper. The individual measurements also had to be weighted based on their accuracy.
