Original Abstract

Pro použití v soudně-inženýrské praxi při analýze silničních nehod je stanovení deformační energie kolizního partnera jedním z nejdůležitějších parametrů pro určení nárazové rychlosti.

English abstract

For use in forensic engineering practice in road accident analysis, determining the deformation energy of a colliding vehicle is one of the most important parameters for determining the impact speed. Modern methods of recording the determinion of a vehicle, and therefore the size of the deformation energy necessary to create it, are not commonly used in the Czech Republic during the normal inspection of the place of traffic accident. Determining the degree of deformation of a vehicle and related deforming energy, is in current practice issue of estimation, which can lead to large inaccuracy in the determination of impact speed. The aim of this article is to compare the available methods for determining the deformation depth of vehicle of collision partners and their possible use in future forensic engineering practice.
