Original Abstract
The main sources of voltage or current fluctuation in piezoceramic sensors are thermal noise, polarization noise and low frequency 1/f noise [1]. It will be shown, that fluctuation of voltage or current is related to sensor geometry and dissipation factor. Optimization of signal to noise ratio require finding proper combination of sample thickness, surface area and dissipation factor or electrical losses and value of sample electrical polarization. It is generally known, that noise spectral density is proportional to piezoceramic sensor bandwidth and sensitivity also depends on piezoceramic element geometry.
