Original Abstract
This paper deals with a thermal modeling of electrical machine parts using thermal networks. Individual parts are considered as bars in which one-dimensional heat transfer is assumed. In the paper, the equations for calculating the internal thermal resistances of the thermal network are derived. The individual thermal resistances are derived with respect to asymmetric cooling of modeled parts. Calculation examples by using derived equations are provided in the paper. The results are compared with solution performed using a finite element method in ANSYS.
