Original Abstract
The paper deals with development of synchronous machine (SM) model and equivalent circuit based on general two-port network theory, which is rather utilized with induction machines or transformers. With some assumption it is also possible to apply two-port network theory on SM. We get complete theory, applicable for all AC machines. The two-port network is well-known basic theory used in wide area of electric engineering. Therefore, application of the two-port network theory on SM can improve understanding of the development process of SM model or eventually equivalent circuit for wide area of electrical engineers. The whole building process is also based on analogy with induction machine (IM) and the theory of rotational coordinates is also employed. The models and equivalent circuits are then more suitable for understanding physical principles of SM from macroscopic point of view.
