Original Abstract
This article describes how to use the online data collection from a machine tool for predictive maintenance based on a machine simulation model. The intention is to design a generally valid procedure to calculate the service life of structural elements such as rolling-element bearings, ball screws, or rolling-element guides of CNC machine tool. The calculation of the service life is based on a suitably chosen calculation of the equivalent load of the selected elements. The input values for determining the end of service life time are obtained from the machine tool control system or other external sensors via an external device. The computational model is based on the MSC ADAMS and Matlab Simulink software. The above procedures are processed for the triaxial milling machining centre MCV 754QUICK.
