Original Abstract
Gasification is a process which produces gas of low heating value, however, generated gas contains except heating elements also several pollutants. The main contaminant is tar, which causes the most problems during its use. The thesis deals with the issue of gas pollution and its cleaning with a focus on wet scrubbing of gas. As washing liquid is used water. For cleaning are proposed different operating conditions whose accuracy is verified experimentally. For experimental purposes, syngas generated by gasification of biomass, is gathered from the atmospheric gasifier Biofluid 2. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the chemical composition of gas before and after wet scrubbing, the difference of composition of tar gathered from purified and nonpurified gas and using gathered data to evaluate the effectiveness of wet scrubbing. The results of the experiment confirm the proposed operating conditions and the efficiency of gas washing with water is high for certain operating conditions, but for the application of gas in the final plants the tar concentrations are still too high. To achieve the limit requirements of final application, the proces of wet scrubbing needs to be improved.
