Original Abstract
In this contribution an influence of the cylinder height on the compressive strength of concrete specimens was experimentally and numerically analysed. A three different cylinder’s heights with the similar diameter and standard cubic specimen were used for experimental campaign. Firstly, the concrete cylinders were tested to obtain the compressive strength and afterwards the experimental results were validated in FE software ATENA. Numerical consider various Young’s modulus, fracture energy and tensile strength. The presented results propose a formula from which a compressive strength for various height of the cylinders could be recalculated for cubic one. This method could by applied for evaluation of measurement on specimen prepared from core drill.
