Original Abstract

A synthesis process of large-scale polymorphic circuits represents a very complex task, when the existing approaches mostly based on techniques known from a conventional digital circuits domain fail to deliver adequate results. Hence the motivation was to create scalable, rigid and multilevel-oriented synthesis flow to tackle the shortcomings. However, the conducted experiments have revealed the necessity to implement certain modifications in order to further increase efficiency of the initially proposed polymorphic circuits optimization concept. Therefore, main attention in this article is given to the investigation of multi-output cuts modification and its influence on the resulting circuits arrangement produced by polymorphic and-inverter graphs rewriting technique proposed earlier. The principle of using multi-output cuts within the synthesis process will be explained. In addition, discussion of the obtained results and their comparison with previously reported approach will be provided for better illustration of the potential benefits.
