Original Abstract
This paper deals with the current challenges of the transformation processes of the fourth industrial revolution. This new revolution creates an environment for strategic human resource management, prompting a need to explore the implications of this context for education. We define the conceptual framework and recall the importance of basic concepts and terms. The main research method is a systematic and critical review of literature. The scientific goal of this article is to identify the current state of the issue Industry 4.0, focusing primarily on digitization, digitalization, digital transformation. This contribution will take into account developments in these sectors and define the impact of these processes on human resource management with respect to the competences and skills that digital capable age demands, e. g. decision making, creativity, coding competence, flexibility. The speed of technological change brought about by Industry 4.0 had created a significant gap between current capability of employees and the rapidly evolving requirements to their competences and skills. This paper suggests that there is a need for recognition of the crucial role of education as a capable tool for responding to new challenges of Industry 4.0. School education for future generations will need to innovate the curriculum and the environment to meet these social changes. Most of all, soft skills will be in greater demand than technical skills in limited areas. Human Resources Management must be able to support a lifelong learning, encourage respect to diversity in people and the ability to cooperate with others.
