Original Abstract
One of the priorities of the 21st century is to find and identify effective ways for waste elimination. The priority is being wise with waste. Worldwide, scientists and engineers work on the develop, ent of effective methods for isolation of chemicals, syntheses of polymers and applications. The objective is sustainable and environmentally friendly processing, use and post-processing of future chemicals, polymers and plastic products. Our study aims in biowaste recycling and the biotechnological conversionof different industrial, agricultural and food waste into biopolymers and biocomposites. Thiw work summarizes 1) the valorization of lignin from different lignocellulosic waste sources, 2) sustainable production of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) and 3) application and evaluation of lignin and PHA in biodegradable and non-biodegradable plastics and polymer systems.
