Original Abstract
Photochemical reactions play important role in the environmental transformations of organic as well as of inorganic compounds. Photochemical activation is the main driving force of transformation of organic compounds in the atmosphere and it also plays and important role in the photodegradation of compounds inefficiently biodegraded in surface waters. Within our study, cinnamic acid was selected as a model compound. It was submitted to photoinduced polymerization on ice and emerging products were identified either by electrospray ionisation / spherical ion trap tandem mass spectrometry with direct liquid introduction (DLI-ESI/3D-ITMS) or by liquid chromatography / electrospray ionization spherical ion trap mass spectrometry (HPLC/ESI-3D-ITMS
