Validation of Results of Brno CHF Experimental Loop in Annular Channel

Original Abstract
This study presents an experimental investigation of critical heat flux on Inconel 625 and compares the results with experimental work as well as correlations from literature. Tests were performed on the loop at pressure up to 0.4 MPa and mass flow rate up to 0.4 kg/s. The heated tube was 380 mm long with an outside and inside diameter of 9.1 mm and 8~mm respectively. The boiling crisis was achieved using DC heating and the temperature of test section was measured using K-type thermocouples. Finally, recorded values were compared to and validated with the analytical correlations from scientific literature and other experimental results.
