Original Abstract
This article brings an overview of several material development approaches in the field of high-voltage layered-spinel cathode materials wich could be used in HEVs, PHEVs, and EVs due to their promising electrochemical properties. The commercially used batteries are not satisfactory in terms of increasing demand for higher capacities, higher voltage, and eco-friendly materials. The materials discussed in thi spaper could bbe an excellent alternate to them as they do not contain cobalt, has high capacity and are cheaper. There are identified their superior properties throughout the article and at the end is the summary of electrochemical characteristics.
