Abstract

Distributed ballistic rescue system especially for VTOL aircraft. The system is based on a cluster arrangement of a large number of smaller ballistic systems distributed over the construction of the aircraft. Current systems are based on one central large canopy, however, this solution is not applicable to VTOL devices, because a large parachute does not have time to inflate sufficiently at a low rescue altitude above the terrain and slow down the aircraft. The result is a functional sample with 12 containers, each containing 3 small canopies.
