Original Abstract
Drastic cuts leading to net zero global greenhouse gas emissions by mid-century will be needed to prevent catastrophic climate change. Recent zero-emissions pledges by different regions such as the European Union and countries such as China and Japan are a promising trend for climate change mitigation.
