Original Abstract

The article is focused on a relationship of universities towards international business and entrepreneurship strategies. Business internationalization represents huge challenge that causes further complexity for university-based spin-offs and affecting entrepreneurial education as well. Article distinguishes between two different strategies used by universities how to enrich international business and entrepreneurial environment. One of the strategies is a focus on the establishment of Team Academy models in university where student are taught how to become future entrepreneurs that might consequenlty enrich international business through newly established start-ups. The other strategy is focused on university-based spin-offs that have significant power and represent key factor that strongly influence university’s market shape. Moreover, commercial priority is spotted in the increasing number of university-based spin-offs through their proces of expansion into foreign markets. On the other side, paper also highlights the importance of the Team Academy entrepreneurial approach within the Czech republic. International entrepreneurship is becoming vital these days not only in terms of business activities. Team Academy approach should be widely implemented within Czech (and also foreign) universities to possibly create future entrepreneurs and focus more on international cooperation and communication within study period. This approach might consequently encourage future graduates to do business internationally. Both entrepreneurial education and university-based spin-offs might contribute and support international business and enterpreneurship. Synchronously, both of these strategies possess specific characteristics when ti comes down to the level of internationalization.
