Original Abstract

Úvodní text volného seriálu o kryptoměnách se zabývá jejich podstatou a vlastnostmi. Je zde definován blockchain a jsou popsány principy fungování kryptoměn. Autor srovnává kryptoměny s měnami úředními (státními), soukromými a elektronickými penězi. Upozorňuje na rizika spojená s kryptoměnami a jako ilustraci popisuje tulipánovou horečku v 17. století v Holandsku.

English abstract

The introductory text of the free series on cryptocurrencies deals with their nature and characteristics. The blockchain is defined and the principles of cryptocurrencies are described. The author compares cryptocurrencies with official (state), private and electronic money. He points out the risks associated with cryptocurrencies and describes the Tulip Fever in 17th century Holland as an illustration.
