Original Abstract

The DELTA (Digital Excavation through Learning and Training in Archaeology) project is an international project involving 4 partner institutions from three European countries: the Hellenic Open University, the DAISS research group (project coordinator), the Department of History and Archaeology - National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Basilicata, the Department of Archaeology and Museology - Masaryk University. The DELTA project enables the transfer and integration of archaeological sites and their documentation into digital space. The course consists of four modules: digital tools for archaeological research, on-site and post-research documentation, digital preservation of cultural sites and artefacts, and open-air and experimental archaeology. The online course lasts 160 hours and upon completion you will receive a certificate of completion.
