Original Abstract
Obtaining the necessary qualifications to become a successful manager requires a deep understanding of many different theoretical concepts that can be learned in schools. Management is, nevertheless, a discipline that is a combination of theory and practice. While theoretical knowledge can be gathered from literature, the practical experience needs to be trained. This article is a case study of an example of practical management in classes. International students were questioned about their expectations and needs from management education, whose relevance has been further evaluated by the author of this article (the teacher). A described case of a management exercise (a simulation game) will be presented. This article also contains professional observation, evaluated beneficial outocmes, limitations, drawbacks, feedback, and discussion. The conclusion of this article is that the effectiveness of this exercise has been recognized by the participants and the teacher in terms of meeting the needs for training skills for management (e.g. soft skills, leadership, business planning, and others).
