Original Abstract
Purpose of the article: The COVID-19 pandemic greatly affects not only people but also organizations, as they face new, unpredictable risks. Risk management is used to identify and prevent these potential The purpose of this article is to examine risk management during a global pandemic with the help of relevant scientific research from selected authors and to find out how risk management has been affected and how these influences are perceived by selected authors. Methodology/methods: The method of systematic literature reviews (SLR) was used to obtain relevant scientific literature. Scientific aim: The author seeks to objectively identify theoretical evidence that would answer the question: What significant changes and influences has the COVID-19 pandemic in the field of risk management brought to organizations? Findings: The article found that the pandemic period and its impact on risk management were challenging for organizations. Based on research in the literature review, it was found that risk management in the field, especially the existing methodology, is insufficient. There is a need to investigate more in this area. According to the author, the ongoing pandemic also serves as a test of the ability of organizations to manage in times of crisis, on which the organization's long-term success depends. Conclusions: The article deals with risk management during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The author used a systematic review of the literature for the research. In the first part of the article, the author presented the issue of risk management and then focused directly on its application during a pandemic. Scientific research by various authors was analyzed and it was pointed out that the pandemic affected risk management quite significantly. According to the research articles that were examined, the risk management methodology, which could also be applied to risk management during a major "crisis", such as the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, is insufficient. Therefore, there is great potential to continue to explore this area and find a suitable methodology for risk management during major crises, which would help address risks or reduce their impact.
