Original Abstract
The floodplain forests, natural environment of the Danube, is a landscape protected area located along the river Danube. The question of protection and coexistence of these areas with expanding Bratislava is very topical today. The regulation of the Danube in the past predetermined the development of the city. What is the future of this symbiosis of Danube, forests and Bratislava? What are the possibilities of their mutual development? The aim of the research is to compare landscape changes from 1990 to 2018 using CORINE Land Cover and outline the possible future direction in research.
