Konferenci ČSÚP pořádá Katedra urbanismu a územního plánování již od roku 2006. Akce je určena zejména vědecko-výzkumným pracovníkům, studentům doktorských studijních programů, pracovníkům veřejné správy a odborníkům z praxe. K diskusi nad konferenčními příspěvky jsou tradičně zváni též zástupci firem, studenti a představitelé občanské společnosti. Územní problematika je široká a zabývají se jí nejrůznější obory a profese. Z toho plyne jak oborová segmentace výzkumů a diskusí na toto téma, tak odlišná terminologie, metody zkoumání, ale i nejrůznější oborové a profesní zvyklosti. Cílem konference ČSÚP je poskytnout prostor jak pro sdílení poznatků, perspektiv a zkušeností, tak pro kritické zhodnocení jejich významu a odborné kvality. Proto byly všechny konferenční příspěvky nejprve schváleny redakční radou na základě jejich anotací a po konferenci byly všechny texty posouzeny dvěma recenzenty v rámci tzv. double blind review. Výstupem z konference je tento sborník, do kterého byly vybrány pouze články, které splňují kritéria databáze Scopus na conference proceedings.

The conference Man, Building and Urban Planning (hereinafter CSUP) has been held by the Department of Urbanism and Urban Planning since 2006. This event is open especially for scientific researchers, undergraduates of doctoral study programs, public administration officers, and professional practitioners. Traditionally, also company representatives and representatives of civil society have been invited to discuss the conference papers. The urban issue is broad and a variety of disciplines and professions have been engaged in it. This results in both discipline segmentation of researches and discussions on this topic and different terminology, methods of research together with various discipline and professional practices. The objective of the CSUP conference is to provide space for sharing the knowledge, perspectives and experience as well as the space for critical assessment of their significance and professional quality. Therefore, all conference papers were initially approved by the editorial board based on their annotations and after the conference all the texts were assessed by two reviewers in the framework of the so-called double blind review. The outcome of this conference is this collection, which contains only the articles that meet the Scopus database criteria for the conference proceedings.
