Original Abstract
Nowadays, there is a visible increase in companies that describe themselves as a startup. This term is often mentioned in the media, but due to the unclear definition of a startup, there is also less scientific research related to this topic. Thanks to the results of previous research, the lifecycle of a startup is divided into five stages and recommends what decisions a startup should make. These stages are differentiated by product development, marketing activities, business model and others. The first two stages, pre-seed and seed, are defined by applying the lean startup approach. In practice, some startups consciously or unconsciously use the principles of lean startup, but others deliberately do not. For future research in the area of startups and the created lifecycle, it is necessary to analyze the current state of scientific knowledge in the lean startup approach and create an updated overview. The aim will be achieved by using bibliometric analysis and systematic review of scientific and business sources.
