Original Abstract

Příspěvek popisuje návrh metodiky pro tvorbu vlastních kartografických znaků pro tématické mapy. Při návrhu byly zdůrazněny tři hlavní aspekty: 1. čitelnost znaků při zobrazení v různých měřítkách, 2. maximální možná míra informace obsažená ve znaku a 3. respektování kartografických pravidel. Metodika byla zpracována pro dvě třídy kartografických znaků: 1. bodové a 2. liniové znaky. Znaky byly vytvořeny pro použití v informačním systému Moravských vinařských stezek. Bodové znaky byly vytvořeny za použití vektorového formátu EMF. Znaky v kategorii liniových prvků byly vytvořeny především pro komunikace. Z těchto znaků je možné zjistit typ komunikace, druh povrchu a jeho obtížnost z hlediska cykloturistiky. Jednotlivé kategorie (obtížnost, druh povrchu atd.) lze navzájem kombinovat. V textu je dále popsán způsob převodu vytvořených znaků do aplikace v systému ArcGIS Online.

English abstract

The article describes the design of a methodology for creating own cartographic symbols for thematic maps. Three main aspects were highlighted in the proposal: 1. readability of symbols when displayed on different scales; 2. maximum possible level of information contained in the symbol; and 3. respecting of cartographic rules. The methodology was developed for 2 classes of cartographic symbols: point and line symbols. Symbols were created for use in the information system of the Moravian Wine Cycle Trails. Point symbols were created using the EMF vector format. In the line features category were created primarily for communications. From these symbols it is possible to determine the type of communication, the type of surface and its difficulty in terms of cycling. Different categories (difficulty, type of surface, etc.) can be combined. The text further describes the method of converting the created symbols into the application in the ArcGIS Online system.
