Original Abstract
As a part of the project, experiments involving supercritical bending of cladded pipes for modern combustion boilers were performed. The supercritical bend in thick-walled pipes is given at a radius below 2.5d [1], when the cross-section of the bent pipe is already significantly deformed. Within the project, supercritical bending tests with radii 1d and 0.75d were performed. The simulation included the design of a tool model and bent cladded pipe, input parameters for tested materials including Inconel 625 and 16Mo3 steel and custom calculation using a finite element method in Ansys application. The resulting values were compared with subsequent experimental measurements.
