Original Abstract

An original application of ANSYS simulated the forming of the temperature field of the entire system comprising the casting, the mold and ambient. It inables the evaluation of the temperature field within the actual casting and mold at any point in time within the process of solidification and cooling. The paper introduces the results of an original optimization of the technology of casting the special ceramics material EUCOR using a numerical model and experimental measurement of temperatures.
