Original Abstract
Measurement and assessment of thermo-physical properties of magnesium oxychloride cement (MOC) with graphene nanoplatelets of different specific surface, namely 300 m2/g and 750 m2/g, is presented in the paper. For the measurement, step-wise transient technique was used. In the experiments, the dependence of thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity of the hardened MOC-based composites was determined. The results of thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity were compared with the experimentally determined and tabulated values of PLA (polylactic acid). It was found that the thermal conductivity is about 1.5 times greater; on the contrary, the heat capacity is 0.8 times smaller than the corresponding parameters of PLA. It was revealed that both assessed thermal parameters depend on the specific surface of the nanoparticles and on the compaction time of the fresh composite mix.
