Original Abstract

V České republice vzrůstá nehodovost. Je asi hodně důvodů proč to tak je, a jedním z nich jsou nevhodně navržené části komunikací, nebo komunikace, které jsou zastaralé. Ukážu některé stavební prvky, které umožňují zlepšit bezpečnost na naších komunikacích hlavně ve městech. Nad touto statistikou by jsme se měli zamyslet: Rok 2002: každou necelou 3 minutu se na našich komunikacích stala dopravní nehoda, každých 18 minut byl při nehodě lehce zraněn člověk a každých 96 minut těžce. V průměru každou 6,7 hodinu zemřel při nehodě člověk. Každou hodinu byla způsobena hmotná škoda přesahující jeden milión korun.

English abstract

Abstract The number of car accidents is increasing in the Czech Republic. There are many reasons why. One of them are parts of roads which were designed in an unsuitable way or roads which are out of date. I would like to point out some construction elements which might improve safety conditions on our roads, especially in urban areas (cities). Let is consider the following statistics: Year 2002: One traffic accident happened almost every 3 minutes on our roads, 1 person got slightly injured every 18 minutes and hardly injured every 96 minutes. Every 6.7 hours a man died in an accident and every hour material damage over 1 million CZK was caused.
