Original Abstract
The paper summarizes the design and implementation of a system enabling the creation of gigapixel images. The system adopts an open-source gizmo design enabling pan-tilt motion. The electrical and software part is designed to be scalable and uses ESP32 as a motion controller of stepper motors. The central component embodies Raspberry Pi that communicates with Canon camera via CCAPI interface and sends taken photos to a server. On the server, Hugin software creates a gigapixel image from the photos. The preliminary results suggest the mechanical and electrical part have sufficient parameters to provide the precise and stable movement of the camera.
