Original Abstract

The work address the assembly and improvement of a machine for automatic servicing of 3D printers. The machine unloads the finished printed object and loads a new printing surface. The planar axes are equipped by closed-loop stepper motor drives to achieve better motion parameters and checking the proper position; the firmware of the drive controllers is upgraded to support CAN communication and S-curve motion. BeagleBone Black is used as the main control unit of the machine; therefore, the extended PCB was designed to connect sensors and unloading manipulators. The control system uses G-code oriented communication protocol. Preliminary results suggest that the machine will operate correctly and fulfill its purpose.
