Original Abstract

Audio effects play a significant role when it comes to digital signal processing. Some of them are used to process musical signals, other for nonmusical signals and some can be used for both (e.g. filters). However, this paper focuses mainly on the musical area. Another way to divide these devices is by the kind of purpose they are being used for -- some alter the technical aspects of given signal (e.q. level), other aim for interesting changes in the frequency spectrum. This is the basic classification of the audio effect introduced in this paper. It utilizes multiple types of digital signal processing (frequency filters, delay line with signal interpolation, low-frequency oscillators) to creatively produce various sound colors with musical signal as its input.
