Original Abstract
In Czech Republic exists since 1993 obligatory conception of creation digital cadastre documentation including cadastral maps. Digital maps are created in two ways: remake of old graphic sources or less common based upon recent numeric data. Obligatory regulations enact government administration to make accuracy control of each new created digital cadastral map regardless its origin. The required control though has only limited extent. The government administration i.e. cadastre offices have neither thorough analysis nor human or financial potential. This is the main reason for cadastre office of South Moravian region to cooperate with Brno University of Technology. University research group together with cadastre offices are dealing with the problem of accuracy of digital cadastre maps and are trying to solve it. There were processed 20 studies analyzing digital cadastre maps (8 of them refer to cadastre districts in city Brno) since 1995. The city Brno is big agglomeration with dynamic development and the quality of cadastre operates is substantial for further development. This paper summarizes results and experiences from accuracy analysis of digital cadastre maps from the area of city Brno. It is overview of results gained from 1995 to 2004. The results show that map accuracy depends on used fundamental data, less then on the technologies used during the remake.
