Original Abstract

The paper deals with parallel solutions of partial differential equations (PDE) in a transputer network. The commonest examples of parabolic, hyperbolic and eliptic PDE are presented. The method of lines, as a numerical method of solving PDE's based on approximation of the derivatives by differences, is applied. Thus the solution of a PDE is transformed into the solution of a system of ordinary differential equations. A special Modern Taylor Series Method is used to solve the obtained system of ordinary differential equations.
