Original Abstract
The dysfunction of the pacemaker (PM) system could be dysfunction of pacemaker itself, or dysfunction of electrode. Number of PM dysfunctions is relative small, and it is not so hard to identify. Dysfunction of electrode (connection problems, infraction, insulation defect) could be life threathing as-well, but detection of this event type is still problem - a measurement method is needed with which the functionality of pacemaker systems in patients can be judged. This prompted a research project to construct device for acquiring pacemaker stimulation pulse together with the analysis software based on PC - hypothesis of the project is that dysfunction of the electrode will cause the change of stimulation pulse on surface ECG. Clearly, it is necessary to describe and analyze several pulse parameters of pacemakers with special hardware and software system. Values of pulse parameters and their significance aren’t well known yet. The aim of this article is explanation and description of developed system for pacemaker pulse analysis.
