Original Abstract

The eddy-current method applicable for non-destructive testing of surfaces of conductive materials has not only advantages but also some disadvantages. This method is relatively cheap in comparison with e.g. radiological methods, control devices could be light and portable and the control process could be automatized. It isn't necessary to adapt controlled surfaces before controlling and these methods are contact-less and allow measurement at high temperatures. The disadvantage of eddy-current method is in impossibility of indication of faults deep under the surface. The other one is the significant sensitivity on dimensions of the tested parts and the edge effect.
