Original Abstract
This paper deals with possibility of feeding wireless sensors using energy harvesting methods. Batteries are not the best way for feeding wireless sensors due to their lifetime. A generic energy-harvesting device generates electric energy from its surroundings using some energy conversion method. Therefore, this energy harvesting generators do not consume any fuel or substance. The source of energy for energy harvesting generator is only surroundings energy. The paper briefly explains the principles of different vibration generators for harvesting electrical energy from ambient vibration. Further, power analysis of generic vibration generator is created and design principles of vibration generator are compared for different nature of ambient vibration. The paper is oriented mainly for principles and designs of vibration generators tuned up to usually vibration in mechanical engineering. Findings of this analysis are used for design and tuning up of vibration generator prototypes.
