Original Abstract
The liberalized electric power market environment puts distribution companies at risk of financial losses due to compensations they have to pay to consumers for poor quality of electricity, whose claims on safeguarding a continuous power supply are ever increasing. The article deals with one of the possibilities for the increase of reliability of power supply from urban 22 kV distribution networks, using remote controlled switching devices. The financial efficiency of the rate of usage of the remote controlled switching devices in distribution stations is analyzed for feeder lines of a model of 22 kV cable distri-bution network for various evaluations of the not supplied electrical energy.
