Original Abstract
For detecting of local defects in all solar cells LBIC (Light Beam Induced Current) is widely used universal method. The resulting picture indicates differences in local series and shunt resistances and differences in local rate of minority carriers recombination. However there is a problem to discriminate between recombinative faults and shunts. As the light source the modulated laser is preferable. This is however a problem by short wave lengths where appropriate device is quite expensive. High intensity LED diodes were used instead of short wave laser. The operation mode must be select carefully and the results must be treated with respect to comparatively wide wavelength dispersion.
