Original Abstract
The paper describes the extension of the progress variable combustion model FIRST for methane flames to low temperature regimes. The reaction sources in low temperate regimes (under 1200 K) are computed with a global Arrhenius reaction derived from the ignition delay measurements available in the literature. The model was compared with the combustion model without extension to low temperatures and validated against data from the measurements.
