Original Abstract

This paper deals with the estimation of the development cost of a biological software systems. A measurement of source code lines (COCOMO - Constructive Cost Model) or function-oriented metrics (FPA - Function Point Analysis) can be used fot this purpose. Both of these methods are described in details and their application in different cases of software development project is discussed.
