Original Abstract
The paper presents a new formulation of the steady model, which separates the path length and atmospheric phenomena from power and design parameters of given FSO transceivers. A single quantity - system margin, which fully characterizes the link, has been defined. Both statistical and steady models are coupled by a definition of normalized link margin, which is related to additional random atmospheric attenuation coefficient and allows synthesis of both models.
