Original Abstract
Synchronous generators are mostly rotating electric machines used for the electrical energy production. They are manufactured in many frame sizes, shapes and power outputs due to their various applications. The bigger machine frame size the more difficult design of the machine and its manufacture. Synchronous generators do not have to work together into the big supply network (towns, states) but they can work into the small supply network too. Example of this small system is the power line on the ferry or freight ship. Synchronous generator diesel sets are mostly used in these cases. The one of the frequently used generators in the big ships is the 12 pole generator. Mechanic construction of this generator is big problems due to complications based on its frame size. The synchronous generator in this work was designed and manufactured with the support of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Czech Republic.
