Original Abstract

The aim of this work is modeling of the human arterial system. The used models are formulated based on analogy of electric circuits and hydrodynamic systems. The models are known as Windkessel models. Two-,three- and four-element models are reviewed and implemented in Matlab Simulink. Furthermore, an interactive application was implemented which enables easy model selection, parameter setting and visualization of the resulting blood flow and pressure curves.
