Original Abstract
This paper deals with the semi-automatic segmentation and analysis of autofluorescence images. The autofluorescent images of the retinal tissue are utilized for the early glaucoma diagnosis. Areas and distances from the optical disc (OD) of these isles can be used as diagnostic parameters. The border of the OD is determined with the help of infrared images, because of higher contrast between OD and surrounding tissue. For this purpose, the multimodal image registration method must be applied. The region growing method with manually determined seed points is used for segmentation.
