Original Abstract

The correct balance of the losses in an induction motor with squirrel-cage rotor is presented. Generally it is assumed that all components of the losses are supplied directly from the network. Since the induction motor, due to higher field harmonic in the air-gap, may be considered as a multifrequency electromechanical energy converter , only a part of high frequency losses is provide directly from the net-work . In this contribution it has been shown that the other part of losses is covered indirectly- after a secondary conversion of the mechanical power taken from the shaft.
