Original Abstract

V přispěvku je pomocí výpočtového modelování a měření na pacintech analyzován vliv odebrání mandlí na výslovnost českých samohlásek Z experimentálních výlsedků vyplynulo, že tonzillektomie způsobila statisticky významný posun třetího formanru F3 u samohlásek /a/, /e/ a /o/ směrem k nižším frekvencím. Pro výpočtové modelování byly vytvořeny MKP nodely vokálních traktů s akustickým prostorem kolem hlavy člověka, umožňující numerickou simulaci vyslovování těchto samohlásek. Z výsledků vyplývá, že odebrání mandlí způsobilo posun některých vyšších formantů především směrem k nižším frekvencím. Posun formantů je ovšem velice závislý nejen na velikosti mandlí, ale i na jejich poloze ve vokálním traktu.

English abstract

The effect of tonsillectomy on production of Czech vowels is numerically and experimentally examined. Experimental results show statistically significant shift down to lower frequencies of 3rd formant frequency for vowels /a/, /e/ and /o/. The finite element (FE) models of the acoustic spaces corresponding to the human vocal tracts and acoustic space around the human head are used in numerical simulations of phonation. Computed results show that tonsillectomy causes frequency shifts of some formant frequencies mostly down to lower frequencies. The frequency shifts of the formants are significantly dependent on position and size of the tonsils. Experimental and computational results are consistent.
