Original Abstract
Generally known system disciplines - modeling and simulation - have (in general) their fixed place in behavioral studies, and on the design and performance of control systems of real processes. Individual chapters explain the problems of describing and managing processes which are distinguished by their marked intricacy (complexity) and the difficulty (sometimes impossible) of formal mathematical description and problematic operational measurability of critical values. Classic formal approaches to these systems are based on numerical mathematical analysis and are supported by mathematical statistical apparatus, on the limits of the knowledge of its use. If we cannot describe the relation between the individual values of the system (due to an accurate definition of real and instrumental concepts) we can proceed in two ways: (1) apply simplified assumptions that reduce the complexity of the investigated system enough to provide its exact description, (2) reduce the level of the description so that the system can be described without simplifying the assumptions.
